Confidentiality
Client Responsibility
- The client shall make clear in writing before project commencement, if any portion of the project is confidential
Rights and Ownership
The client shall be entitled to full ownership and copyright of all approved final artwork created during a project upon full payment of the agreed fee, and the following reproduction rights shall be granted:
- Client gains full transferable rights to the final artwork
- Client gains full license to reproduce artwork through commercial printers
Design Planet shall be entitled to the following reproduction rights:
- Design Planet reserves the right to display final artwork as part of their portfolio
- Design Planet reserves the right to photograph all completed designs or installations, to use for publications, or any other promotional purpose
Finances
Estimates
- Quotes are estimated on the specifications given by the client. Any significant changes to the brief or additional amends will be estimated prior to any additional fees being incurred
Start of Project
- The client is required to make a 50% down payment prior to work commencing, which is non‑refundable. Any projects under the value of £500 the client is required to make a 100% down payment. Once received, the project will then be scheduled in
End of Project
- Invoices are issued upon completion of the project
- The remaining 50% is due within 30 days of completion
- We offer a descretionary 5% discount to invoices paid within 7 days of issue to incentivise early payment
Payment Plan
- Design Planet offers flexible payment plans for businesses looking to spread the cost and pay in installments

Late Payments
- If the full payment is not paid within 30 days, a ‘late payment’ fee will be charged at a 5% rate of unpaid invoice, along with a fixed sum for the cost of recovering a late payment under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
- This initial 5% will be added upon each recurring 30 day period until the full amount has been received
Cancellations
- If for any reason the project is cancelled after work has started, a cancellation fee based on the stage of a projects completion shall be paid by the client, and we retain ownership of all copyrights to the work
Minimum Charge
- There is a minimum order charge of £400 per project for any type of work.
Rush Turnaround
- If you require artwork quicker than our standard turnaround time, a 30% ‘rush’ fee will be added
Third-party
Contracts
- We may contract other creative professionals to provide services, the client will be notified and written permission will be required in order to proceed
- Quotes will be valid for 30 days and full/part payment may be required prior to project commencement of these services
Damages
- Upon receiving final work, if there are any damages occurred during delivery, the client is required to notify Design Planet within 24 hours and provide photographic evidence of the damage
- This ensures the issue can be quickly dealt with and any problems resolved.
