Design Planet is an independent brand and design studio based in Eastbourne, we aim to bring clarity and differentiation to brands and businesses through design.
We see ourselves not just as a studio but as a creative partner, with effectiveness and sustainability at our heart. Our strength lies in our considered approach to typography, colour, and composition. This is visualised through our minimal aesthetic style that focuses on reduction and clarity.
Our studio name was derived from our thought that everything we do as designers should be for the benefit of our planet, not just our clients — a conceptual simplification of sustainability through design.

I’m Alex Melville, founder and Creative Director of Design Planet.
I launched Design Planet back in 2016, then it was simply a means for working as a freelancer. After eight years of wearing multiple hats for many agencies I found it difficult aligning myself with the work I was creating - to put it simply, I fell out of love with my craft. In order to realign myself with the world I love, it was essential that I re-launch Design Planet as an independent creative studio, connecting with brands and businesses that share a similar world-view and alignment.
